Tema Steele is Founder and Partner of Steele Financial Solutions, a mother and son business that helps people prepare toward retirement and during retirement. Since 1981, her clients have benefited from her financial guidance. Tema’s approach to retirement planning is simple. She listens to what people want with their finances and then makes clear, concise recommendations. She has developed a stellar reputation for helping people organize their financial lives while having a good time in a relaxed environment. Tema takes a keen interest in the emotional and psychological issues of retirement planning for each individual. Clients appreciate that they can count on her as part of their support team. Tema frequently reminds clients that they are like members of her own extended family.
Tema is highly qualified and experienced working with individuals 50+ in preparing retirement strategies. Whether people are looking to find a place for their savings or are looking to increase their income, Tema always has unbiased recommendations that may enhance the client’s current financial situation. She insists there is no one size fits all. This is why each prospective client is given a short list of items to bring to the initial, no cost consultation. It is imperative to know where each person has been, where they are and where they want to go to truly be able to enhance their situation. Helping people with financial strategies is more than a job for Tema. It is a passion. She loves that “our family works with your family.” Being a referral-based business, most clients do come by word of mouth from family & friends.
Tema overcame some difficult challenges on her path to success as a Financial Services Professional. After working in banking for 9 years, Tema became an insurance agent at New York Life Insurance Company in 1981. During this time, she was a single mother of two young children on food stamps while also pursuing her M.B.A. degree. Today, Tema enjoys working with clients more than ever. She has become one of the most recognized names in the finance industry in the South Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania areas. Tema has had her own TV and radio shows on finance and is frequently asked to join expert panels on relevant financial topics. Although able to retire after over 40+ years in the business, Tema has no plans to ever stop working. Her clients know this but also appreciate that her son, Joel, will be here for them and their heirs as well. Joel grew up learning the business from his Mom and joined her as a full-time partner in 2002. Clients realize they benefit from two financial service professionals more than one. Moreover, clients know they can reach Tema or Joel anytime by cell phone or email. Clients take comfort in knowing Tema & Joel are very accessible.

Joel Steele is Co-owner and Partner of Steele Financial Solutions, a family run business that specializes in helping people plan up to and throughout retirement. Joel enjoys being a trusted resource to help people retire with confidence. He prides himself on finding traditional and outside the box strategies to accomplish that goal. Joel is proactive in helping clients avoid potential pitfalls along the road of life. He aims to make sure most of client’s wealth stays in their pockets by looking at tax minimization strategies1. Joel believes there is no one-size fits all for everyone. “Even in a modern world with evolving technology and a high pace of change, there’s still no good substitute for personalized, one-on-one advice.”
With substantially more uncertainty, higher volatility, and non-stop breaking news, people need all the help they can get. “We don’t just manage money, but also the emotions that come along with it.” Joel prioritizes two components of ongoing investment management:
-Risk versus return
-Needs versus wants
